Evidence summary
Gold standard surgical approach. Removes polyps, opens sinus ostia, and restores drainage. Significant symptom improvement in 80–90% of patients. However, polyp recurrence affects 40–80% of patients, with 25% requiring revision surgery. Best combined with ongoing medical/biologic therapy.
